HELLO (:
So, is anyone else here on CC who gets so drifted off when they reach the writing section of the PSAT? lol, for me, I can’t even start with the improving sentences since it’s so overwhelming… Any tips to overcome this?

Ever heard of a saying that says ‘’ to win a war you have to become war’'.
I know a girl might find this strange. When I feel that I am getting tired or that the WR section is overwhelming me, I punch myself.

This method does wonders(I really mean it).
If you want to win the war, you gotta pay the price.

I guess you’re looking for someone you can relate to, OP.

Yeah, we all get tired eventually. That’s what draws the line between those who succeed and make amazing scores, and those who make above average or mediocre scores. Do your best and hope for the best knowing that you did all you could. That’s all I can tell you. Having faith that god is helping you do something good for yourself and your future helps as well.

In the end though, any one can get a perfect score. Yes, any one. It just depends on your attitude/approach to the exam. You have to love it, and enjoy every single question as a fun challenging puzzle or so. Mentality is the key.

Thank you Sir ^

Really gave me an idea on how I’ll tackle the questions tomorrow morning (practice test)

having faith that god is helping you? Seriously, what does he chose who he helps and at what times.

^ Let me enlighten you.

Read this: [BBC News - Religion and sport: Do prayers help players?](Religion and sport: Do prayers help players? - BBC News)

Even though it’s related to sport, it is applicable in any field.

that was actually a good article.

" This is what Jeong-Keun Park of Seoul University did in 2000 by studying the performances of Korean athletes. He found that prayer was not only a key factor in coping with anxiety but also in attaining peak performance."

That was interesting to read but notice the last sentence of the article, “All of which suggests that religious conviction really can boost performance, but only if you truly believe.”

Notice the only if you truly believe. For people that are not religious I honestly don’t think they will have such a strong religious conviction and faith. And you probably think I’m an atheist but I am not. I believe in God but i think it’s foolish to believe he has any effects on sports or one’s performance on a petty test.
