Animal science undergrad Cornell veterinary chances

Hi, I’m a first year international student studying Animal science in Murdoch university, Australia. I’ve previously done a science bachelor’s, majoring in biotechnology at Monash university. Honestly, I didn’t do well and barely scraped though it. I’ve been an average student my whole life with no significant or extraordinary extracurricular achievements.

I have always wanted to be a vet, but have only recently been given a chance to pursue my dreams. I plan to try and transfer to the veterinary science program in Murdoch next year, and since I’m working towards that, I thought, why not strive for something more?

I have always liked Cornell for it’s focus on felines, and would like to know how I can work towards getting a chance at Cornell. I do understand that admissions to any vet program is intensely competitive, and probably more so at Cornell, I would like some advice on what I can do to increase my chances.

Cornell is much more lenient toward transfers than the other Ivies. However, transfers are usually more numbers based, which means you need to get a high GPA now.
