The family was wealthy and high profile, and there were a lot of mistakes made in the investigation. Sorry, but that makes something interesting to the public. It resurfaced as a top news item when some kook took credit for the murder. It’s still an open case.</p>
<p>Anna Nicole was also a public figure with her Playboy bunny status, her TV show and her legal issues with her dead husband’s family. It went to the Supreme Court, which makes it newsworthy. </p>
