<p>Does anyone know anything about the Annenberg Scholar group. I heard it was only by invitation for scholarship winners but I know someone who was invited who says they didn’t receive any scholarship. Anyone know the criteria for this group? Thanks.</p>
<p>That’s correct, there is no scholarship money linked to the Scholar program. I’m not sure what the exact selection criteria are, but I know it’s an invitation extended to top students coming into Annenberg.</p>
<p>Basically it’s a great way to jumpstart your freshman experience. It lets you meet a smaller group of Annenberg students through dinners and even a retreat. The program sort of fizzled out for me after freshman year though as the school focused on the next incoming class.</p>
<p>The group is sometimes offered special Annenberg opportunities as well. When the late Walter Cronkite visited several years ago, the Scholars had a chance to meet him a few minutes before the public event and take a group photo.</p>
<p>It’s definitely a group I would recommend joining if invited!</p>
<p>So you didn’t receive any other scholarships from the college first? I was told that you had to have received one of the internal scholarships in order to qualify to be invited. However, I know of at least one person who says they received no scholarships yet was invited to be an Annenberg Scholar. Just wondering if the info I got about scholarships is true or not. Any other Annenberg Scholars out there who did not receive a scholarship? Thanks.</p>

<p>I am an Annenberg scholar and Presidential candidate…I haven’t seen anyone else on here selected as an Annenberg scholar</p>
<p>I was invited to be an Annenberg Scholar 
and I interviewed for the Presidential scholarship, but I’m still waiting to hear back about that.</p>
