I know what you mean. I’m old enough to remember seeing her in mouse ears every week on TV. I seem to recall she was most noted for her early, uh, maturation. I think we kids used to call her “Annette Funny Jello”. I also remember when she dropped her last name, fixed her nose, and moved on to beach blanket movies. This is all making me feel ancient. I wonder how many of the original Mouseketeers are still with us?

Very sad about Annette. I know she’d been very debilitated by MS. I’m happy to see that Cubby is still alive, I had a huge crush on him and on Johnny Crawford.

I always liked Annette. I didn’t know that she had a nose job! I liked Karen and Cubby, too. It’s such a shame that she developed MS, such a cruel disease.

I was 6 when MMC started and had what I suppose was a crush on Annette. She was different than the other girls though at 6 I don’t think I could put my finger on the reasons how and why. By the end of MMC I think I had figured it out.

I just read that in her last years, she was unable to speak, and her arms and legs were permanently curled. She always seemed like such a good person, it’s heartbreaking to think about how much she suffered.

No, just truth. She will not live forever in my heart. In fact, the only direct thing I remember about her was when she decided babies from low-income families no longer needed subsidized milk; hence “Milk-Snatcher Thatcher.”

Annette F was great as a child actress but had terrible ideas as a grown woman. Disliked her views! She did terrible things using her celebrity status. M Thatcher was a British politician who likely did far more good overall.
