My wife and I exchange ornaments at our anniversary each year, as its near Dec 25th. I always give her this year’s Gorham silver snowflake ornament. She has traditionally given me brass architectural ornaments made by a local store, but the store stopped making them this year. Anyone know of a store making annual ornaments that are not silver? Bonus points if architecture or history themed.
Williamsburg has some nice metal ornaments, historical, of course.
White House annual ornaments are often brass and some other material. Some might be silver (haven’t decorated our tree yet and can’t remember) but this year’s appears to brass (from the small image I just pulled up on my phone).
George Washington’s Mount Vernon. This year’s is a Christmas tree with ornaments–mainly pineapples!–and gold tone trim.
