<p>If you win any outside scholarships to pay off any loans that you were offerded, but you win extra money that can cover other expenses (such as computers, supplies, books, etc.) are you allowed to use that scholarship money for those expenses, or do you have to use it strictly to reduce any grants or anything else?</p>
<p>Our son received outside scholarships – funds sent directly to Lafayette and applied against outstanding balance after financial aid award. His grant was not affected, but the “cash” was not available for use toward books, computers, supplies, etc.</p>
