and also another question… does taking SAT IIs increase your chances of acceptance?

and finally, thanks for any feedback… it means a lot

SAT IIs might increase you chances if you do really well on them. It just depends the most important admission factors of the college. According to The Priceton Review’s “The Best 371 Colleges 2010 Edition”, the very imortant admission factors include standardized test scores. Out of 5,715 people who apply, 76% get in. That is pretty good. The average HS GPA is a 3.59, though, so try hard to get your GPA up.

Accordin to The Princeton Review’s “The Best 371 Colleges 2010 Edition”, for U of Pittsburgh, GPA is the first very important admissions factor. The average HS GPA is a 3.95. Out of 20,685 applicants, 55% get in. I’m not sure about Robert Morris but I think that what you need to focus on is getting your GPA up. You do not want to be below the school’s average GPA when you apply. Hope that helped. Good luck!

Pitt cares more about the quality of classes (honors, AP) and how you did in them. They don’t just look at GPA. That doesn’t really mean anything because of grade inflation or variable qualities, so they put a lot of emphasis into the quality of coursework and performance therein (which includes GPA and class rank) and also SATs. You’re SATs are close to the middle of Pitt’s middle-50 SAT range. So, if you keep pulling your GPA up, I think you’ll be fine though.

Pitt does not use SAT IIs at all. I’m pretty sure Pitt doesn’t look at SAT writing either, but you have to check for sure.

Interesting choice with all Pittsburgh schools and Toronto.
