Another "Chances" Question

I was wondering if I have a shot at getting in. I’d be transferring Fall ’10 since I am past the application date (because I did not even bother for this Fall because I didn’t think I had a chance, but now I think it might be worth it to try). I’d be transferring from a community college in PA (with a good reputation – there have been other ivy transfers). I am majoring in mathematics (and probably physics but my school does not have a physics major) and I am female.

I have a 4.0 and took all the math classes and physics classes my school has (Calc II & III, DiffEQ, Linear Algebra, Physics I & II plus a few Computer Science classes), but I did retake 2 classes I failed (American Sign Language II and Visual Basic Programming) because I got extremely sick for a month one semester. I do not remember my exact SAT scores (around 700 math, 600 reading. writing), they were not as good as they should have been because I was on Topamax at the time which really destroyed my ability to think. I would retake them if it mattered – I know I could do better now that I am off the meds.

I do not really have any extra circulars but I work as a math tutor and I am starting up my own company selling my collectible dolls (BJD for those that have heard of them) that I sculpt and cast (which I will have together by the time I apply). My doll thing takes up all of my time that is not devoted to school, but I am hoping that can help prove that I am motivated, interesting, and diverse. I guess I am also a bit of a feminist, and my goal is to help promote women in male dominated fields (because I personally know the discrimination that we often face), and I also try to promote awareness of women’s health issues. I was going to start a Women in Math, Science, and Technology club in my college but my school makes it very difficult to form a club and there is a lot of problems at student life.

I am very good at math and it is a huge passion for me. I was the only one in my high school (pubic but very competitive) to get an A in Calculus, so I know I am very much above average. A lot of people at my community college even know me as the little math genius girl. I have big dreams and ambitions, and Brown is my dream school. I am a unique individual, to say the least, and I know I could prove that I am distinct and passionate. I would do anything I had to get in. I did not take any tests besides the SAT but I’d happily take anything that would better my chances of getting in. I know I would have great recommendations from my physics professor and effective speaking professor (my math teacher was a little weird and not as qualified). I also know I can write a great essay (my Comp teacher actually recommended me for tutoring that too), and for something so important I will make sure it is perfect.

Do I have a chance at getting in? And what could I do over the next year to increase those chances? Or, since I would be getting my associates this year and would not be in school for a year (because stupid me decided I wanted to shoot for good schools a little too late), are my chances drastically decreased? I could still take classes at my CC if it helped - I’d happily take Chem classes or mechanics – would that help? And if I do take classes, would starting that club help a lot?

Thank you very much; I know I write a lot. I just really want a good, honest opinion.
