<p>I would of said no, because I can think of countless times were free will has been impeded by outside forces.</p>
<p>This essay screams to me 1984, anything that has to do with totalitarianism (Russia, Germany, Italy), and economic forces that hinder us from achieving our goals.</p>
<p>The example you used about how she got some colleges:</p>
<p>I personally would have turned it into she got into two very selective schools. One of which was her top choice and got into her 5th choice, but because of economic forces which hindered her choice of colleges she had to go to her 5th choice school.</p>
