<p>So here we go again. I just wrote my first CommonApp Essay but is this a good topic?</p>

<p>I wrote about being Nigerian-American and how having aspects from both cultures has changed me. </p>

<p>Topic of Choice: I made up a question as a guide. Write about something you lost and how it affected you? </p>

<p>Sneak Peek
First Sentence: I’ve lost my first name. I don’t know exactly when I lost it but I know how.
Last Sentence: Through the work of engineers we are able to address our ever changing world and as an engineer I plan on impacting not only the two nations that I love, Nigeria and America, but also the world. </p>

<p>Anyone who’s good with essays willing to read it? Also it is slightly over 500 words by 31 words</p>

i think they truncate the essays if it is over 500 or something. not sure…though. check on it</p>
