<p>Now it seems we have to worry about our sons as much as our dtrs. On tonight’s news Girl recants false accusations of rape at Hofstra.</p>

<p>The Hofstra parents received an email last night around 11:00 reporting that the young woman admitted to the police that the story was not true. It appears that all along the 4 young men arrested had told police that it was consensual. They were released last evening after a special court session was called. Very sad for all involved.</p>
<p>That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. A 18 y old college student agreed to have sex with 5 guys, one after the other??? Whatever.</p>
<p>She is obviously scared or was being pressured to say what she said. I do not believe it was concensual. One, maybe. Two at most. But 5???</p>
<p>When I was in college (25 years ago) there was a girl in the next dorm who would do this sort of thing. She freely admitted it. It was sad. </p>

<p>The above article quotes one of the accused as not knowing the accuser. Excuse me. Did he or did he not have sex with her consensual or not. He doesn’t know her? What’s up with excusing this behavior in boys. Agreed she was wrong for falsely accusing people, but this boy/man must have known her at some level. sheesh</p>
<p>Two of the men claim that they didn’t have sex with her.</p>
<p>The other “funny” statement out of his mouth is that he respects women, raised in a house with females. Umm, having sex with your friends watching all willing participants, is not respecting women, or yourself for that matter.</p>
<p>One of the guys took a video of the sex act(s) which shows that it was consensual.</p>
<p>Hofstra lifted the suspension of the accused and has suspended the accuser.</p>
<p>How about suspending the accused for having sex in a public restroom?</p>

<p>I looked around Hofstra’s website and it appears that they don’t have an honor code. I didn’t find a general book on dos and don’ts, either. Personally I think that they he’s been punished enough with an arrest record and association with a sex crime hoax. I saw the pictures of the falsely accused celebrating after their release. I think that they would have been better off with a circumspect appearance.</p>
