I have an ACT of 33, so it is my impression that I am competitive enough there. Do I need to be super competitive in both SAT and ACT to get into a school like Princeton, Rice, etc.?

I am also a likely NMSF. I am at a 218, and the highest I’ve ever seen my state pull for cutoffs is about a 213. Will 2130 be enough to back up my 218 for that?

I have an unweighted 4.0 and am in the top 1% of my class.

For EC’s, I have:
• Secretary of NHS
• Secretary of Fellowship of Christian Students
• Many awards / 7 years selection and participation in the regional science and engineering fair
• Youth volunteer (about 12+ hrs/month) at a renowned museum
• Art Club
• Piano
• Volunteer monthly in children’s church

If that gives you a better idea, since I know applicants are more than test scores.

For the most competitive schools like you listed, 2130 is on the lower end; however schools usually have the policy of using whichever is highest of your ACT/SAT so I would check their policy. I think your ACT score is a bit better though.
