It really says something about the men at that lunch if they’re so afraid they’ll sexually harass someone that they change not themselves but whether there are people for them to harass.

Yes, inappropriate conduct is important, should be investigated, and handled appropriately.
However, this seems to be all I hear about and see leaders/media discussing these days. I am greatly concerned about the National deficit, especially what we are leaving to our younger generation, and the improvement of the economy. I would like the focus to be on this.

I tried GMA, CBS, Morning Joe, and finally settled on silence early in the morning. But it didn’t feel right.

While I’m certainly not a fan of multiple threads, I’m thinking this is significant enough to warrant its own. Certainly if it were a D-list celebrity, I’d merge it, but the general harassment thread is challenging enough to wade through as it is.
A few weeks ago, while watching the CBS This Morning report on a harassment scandal, I noticed Charlie Rose squirming in his seat. I wonder if Matt Lauer could report on it without showing guilt.

The accusations against ML must be pretty concrete for them to have fired him so quickly, I would have guessed he would have gone on a forced vacation until the allegation was investigated.
The same way Ann Curry started her conversation at home. Hun, I have been fired because ML.
I’m just speculating but if it was unprofessional behavior that didn’t cross the line into harassment or assault, I would think after he talks with his wife then perhaps he will publicly comment. I say this only because the official network statement is vague enough that we can’t know yet.

Haven’t watched The Today Show since Bryant Gumble was the host. I read the NYT while listening to Morning Edition with my morning coffee.
I’m just surprised he was fired soooooo quickly. No further investigation, no special news reports…
I think that means that there was just too much evidence to “find him guilty”, but I’m not sure…
IMHO they fired him quickly because his behavior was known. They were just waiting for someone to file a complaint so they no longer could act like they were not aware

I rarely saw the Today show but Lauer always came across as a smug a-hole.
I never watch these morning shows but isn’t this the show that Billy Bush was on that he was fired from last year?

Ummm… that would not go well I suppose. 
In some community states, like in mine, the other spouse is also on the hook for any $$ damages caused by the harasser.
