Another should I retake the act thread

I am currently wondering if I should retake the act in December as a senior in any last possible attempts to raise my score.

Here are my scores for reference:
September Scores:
W: 9

October Scores
Reading: 30
Science: 25
W: Not Yet Avaliable

Seeing that I rose it this time by 3 points, I am wondering if it is possible I could raise it again. At the moment, my hopes are to get into schools such UC Davis, University of Washington and Boston University, so I fear that my current scores might be too low. (I have a 3.83 Unweighted GPA) My hope is to get it up to 30 and 31, but I am not sure if I could raise it to these scores. Any opinions would be great. Thank you

Just wondering but did you not take the writing? Almost all California schools requires writing. I would not except a 3 point jump again. The reason you increased is because you got used to the format. Also Math will most likely not jump because the harder problems require in dept knowledge and out of the box thinking. The only way you could really prepare for the math is to see a lot of problems. For the two schools you mention I am pretty sure you are in or near the middle 50 percent.

I would recommend taking it in December just so you would not regret not taking it in the future.

If you want to go to those universities you need 30+. However, if you want to retake the Act in December, you may need to get even higher (like 33+). Your scores would be officially released with writing scores mid-January, and most kids would already have applied to those schools.
So in my opinion, apply and retake. If you're not accepted with a 28, then reapply after you receive your second score.

Oh, I took writing, just did not put as I have not yet received the October one.
The first time, I received a 9.

Also for my information, this is the list of schools I am applying to.

Boston University
Pitzer (Not applying with my test scores here due to their admission policy)
University of Washington

University of Massachusetts at Amherst
University of Oregon

Thank you for the advice (:

Please do not listen to mock94. Your score is in the middle 50 percent.

;/a>

46 pct admitted/ 26-32 for mid 50 percent.

But he is right apply to the school and if you get rejected send your December score.

Also, California schools require Subject tests.

Oh, I have already taken the subject tests even though the UC's don't require them anymore. Lit, this Nov. and US in May. (a score of 770 there) I guess I will retake it again, just afraid it will stay the same or lower.

Thank you for the advice (:

Oh. Does UCLA require subject tests? And since when hid Davis stop requiring subject tests, I checked the latest college books and most cal schools required it.
