That fraternity is set downhill on the lake and not right on Langdon thus the incident isn’t exactly how it might appear in the video (i.e. not a passerby walking down a sidewalk along a well traveled street).

Not the first nor the last time a TV has been pitched out of a window at UW-Madison. Yepper the police would come by and ask if you had a second TV. “No sir, just a clean up crew.”
Every single year my children have been undergrads or grad students there has been the death of a at least one senior undergrad. Why? Some stupid ‘tradition’ a senior should do before graduation. I hate it.
As a parent, I can’t imagine how angry, helpless and horrifying it would feel to have a kid killed as a bystander during such a dumb stunt. It’s bad enough when frat boys kill themselves by drinking or their “brothers” let them die during parties or hazing, but at least those kids willingly participated in whatever stupidity is going on. If my kid were just standing outside and was killed by a TV that some other dumb kids tossed out a window, I can’t even begin to process the rage I would feel. The jerks who tossed the TV would end up being grateful that they were prosecuted and sent to prison because that’s the only thing that would protect them from me.
They must have been watching Letterman reruns.
