Another tragedy

*HOUSTON - More than a year after a horrific bias attack nearly killed him, David Ritcheson masked his pain with a smile, concealing his anguish from the people closest to him, an attorney for his family said Tuesday.

Ritcheson, a Mexican-American who was beaten unconscious and sodomized with a plastic pole by a man shouting “White Power!” in April 2006, leaped to his death in the Gulf of Mexico from an upper deck of a Carnival Cruise ship on Sunday, witnesses said.*

I didn’t want to hijack the thread of the young man who drowned in the quarry.
Davids story, is very painful to think about.

wow, what a way to go.

kity, I read about David last week and was so sad to know what he went through. No matter how long I live, nor how much I see in the people I counsel, I will never understand how some humans can be such evil beings. Every time I read a story like this about a young person who has been so savagely attacked, another little piece of my heart breaks.
