Birthday was free (I don’t think they offer that any longer) - we did the same.
I love Catalina.
They switched from free to BOGO on birthdays then dropped it entirely, alas.

If I could convince some friends…I’d spend a couple of days at Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires.
OR a couple of days at the Hotel Del on Coronado (it’s one of my bucket list items).

One of our memorable stays from decades ago was the Hyatt Hill Country in Texas. But I think that’s because of their lazy river and nightly s’mores. Not sure how it’s changed since then.
