<p>Very sad. Had my own close call off a city park. Very lucky a strong swimmer was with me and helped me out. Have to know your limits–lake gets deep pretty quickly and if you get tired it can be over very fast. It’s not a pool.</p>
<p>A bit curious myself what the circumstances surrounding this drowning were. The first one this summer looked to be a result of drinking and swimming late night. Happening a bit before 7am in this case is odd though. Very sad in any case and hopefully these issues will be a warning to others.</p>
