<p>PG–Okay, it was the song and dance. Actually, the whole, “aren’t these things great” as they rooted around, pulled it out, and sung its praises sounded sort of charming in the telling. I guess you had to be there.</p>
<p>It wasn’t charming. It came across as insulting and cheap. Just trust me on this one.</p>
<p>This posts has nothing to do with weddings but I have been in situations where I’m at a restaurant with other people and one will pull out a coupon and apply it only to their portion of the bill. In other words, they subtract the coupon amount from the amount that the owe and leave the rest of us to fend for ourselves.</p>
<p>Now THAT’S tacky. Save the coupon for another time or use it to take the amount off the bill total. One or the other!</p>

Exactly. As the years roll on, these sorts of judgments seem so petty.</p>
