<p>I know I sound like a broken record but please, put safety first. Do NOT walk alone late at night!</p>

<p>The article does not say whether the 21 year old was an IU student, but it really doesn’t matter. Friends don’t let friends walk alone.</p>

<p>Did IU issue any kind of alert to students about this incident?</p>

<p>I actually got the email one today (as an alum!), they may have sent a text out previously but I removed my phone number, so I’m not sure. </p>

<p>I have no idea why people would walk alone at that hour. None of my friends ever did</p>

<p>I agree 100% about walking alone. That goes for males and females. </p>

<p>I’m not sure about the alert. They did have a very good sketch in the local paper recently.</p>
