Anthony Weiner

Weiner should resign whan Vitter does. Vitter patronized the DC Madam’s business plus kinky diaper sex - EWWW.

Sanford didn’t resign, but finished out his term, in spite of multiple calls for him to resign and the initiation of impeachment proceedings in the SC legislature.

Larry Craig also didn’t resign, finished out his term.

Giuliani of course didn’t resign when his multitude of disgusting actions were revealed.

Senator Coburn lied about Ensign’s affair, helped to cover it up, and arranged the payoff, yet he’s still in the Senate.

Was or is there a big hue-and-cry here for these men to resign? Hmmmm…

At my son’s college graduation this spring, the chancellor devoted part of his speech to warning the graduates to be extremely careful about what they post on the internet. He went on and on about it, warning them that many things that seem innocuous today will come back and bite them. I like the guy, but I thought it was a bit overdone. I even started to wonder if one of his sons (college age) had gotten into some trouble, causing the chancellor to take the opportunity to dispense some unnecessary fatherly advice.

It seems he is more aware of what is going on than I am.

There was a huge outcry for most of those men to resign.

I’m not picking and choosing -they should all be gone. I don’t care about party affiliation.

An outcry here at CC? I checked the other day re: Vitter, and couldn’t find anything.

Yes, well my plot is next to yours NYMom. I just can’t imagine anyone, male or female taking pics of their private parts. Isn’t that why they are called PRIVATE?? And then to email them to others – yuk. No one wants to view his short comings.

Good grief:

Who was the football player that sent unsolicited <censored> shots to a woman? I’ve only known one man who has sent such shots to someone–mid life crisis. Rep. Weiner is about the right age for a mid life crisis.</censored>

I suppose the only reason that I can see for his not resigning would be to protect his hard working staff who would be thrown out of a job on a moment’s notice.

BTW, don’t miss the Jimmy Fallon take off of the Weiner news conference…

As for the Spirit ads, I guess when your name is Weiner, you get used to weiner jokes.

I don’t think he’ll resign. I do think redistricting will do him in without a fight. :)

I plead guilty to having taken a “Vanity Fair Demi Moore Cover” type nude picture circa 1992… AFAIK it has not hit the internet yet, and I doubt anyone will have to resign if it does.

Brett Favre?

This is really too bad:

[Anthony Weiner’s Wife, Huma Abedin, Is Pregnant - NYTimes.com](<a href=“Anthony Weiner's Wife, Huma Abedin, Is Pregnant - The New York Times”>Anthony Weiner's Wife, Huma Abedin, Is Pregnant - The New York Times)

I had a feeling about this… see my earlier posts.

Oh, wow! I felt sorry for her before, and now even more so! How could he be such a self centered, thoughtless husband/future father?

This makes it even worse. This should be such a happy, exciting time. How could he?

Oh boy. I feel so sorry for Huma. But, now Weiner can resign and say he needs to focus his time and energy on his family

question for attorneys:
Would Huma Abedin have a greater chance of getting full custody of the child after birth, if she divorces AW now, versus after the child is born?

I can’t keep up with this thread. I went away for a few hours, read what I missed, went back to the Forum page, and new posts had already appeared.

should we post screenshots of the thread on twitter ? ;)

I don’t see why it should matter. It’s still his kid. Whether it’s before or after the child is born, the fact that he’s a lousy husband should have no effect whatsoever on his parental rights. Besides, even if she commenced divorce proceedings tomorrow (and who in their right mind would want to go through anything like that in the middle of a pregnancy?), the chances of the divorce being final before the child is born – even if she used the new no-fault “irretrievable breakdown” ground – would be about zero.

Lousy husbands make for lousy fathers. This is unfortunate timing.

Just proves the old adage,ANY man can be a father, but not every man can be a dad…this guy is a disaster
