<p>I’m not shocked. I’m not even surprised. Men send such pictures. Yeah, they’re idiots to do it, and idiots to think women want to see the pictures, but… men send them. That a man would send a picture of his <censored> is not a surprise. That a Congressman acts like other men is also not a surprise.</censored></p>
<p>There are naked pictures of Arnold Schwartzenegger (another family values guy 
) available on the internet; this was well known before his election.</p>
<p>Ewww Why did I click on the picture of “our Congressman” with an er*ct body part in his hand? And I want to know how this isn’t illegal? I know you can get a felony charge if you have an “obscene materials on your computer” (nothing about it being underage for that law). That’s if your computer has those. What about sending obscene photos? And what about his lying? Is that a no-no or illegal?</p>

<p>This guy needs to man up (sorry, I couldn’t resist) and resign in order to retain a vestige of dignity. If he doesn’t, there will be no end of wiener jokes every time has an opinion on which others may disagree. If this were a one time thing I might be more charitable, but he’s been courting disaster for a while now. Isn’t this what we are trying to teach our children? You do something extremely stupid and get caught, you suffer the consequences and you have only yourself to blame? He thinks that if he can only ride out this embarrassment for as long as it takes his minions to finally get it out of the news cycle he can have it all back again. I disagree.</p>

<p>Not unless by “obscene” you mean “child porn.” Pornographic material featuring consenting adults, commercial or homemade, is legal. Most computer-owning American males, and a lot of the females too, would be felons otherwise.</p>
<p>Just a side note - I was watching Chris Matthews when he said something that sounded as if he were blaming Weiner’s wife. However, a moment later, after the commercial, he said what he’d said sounded as if he was blaming the wife, but what he meant was X (I don’t remember, but it kind of made sense), and that there is no way he would ever believe a wife was to blame. I assume a producer told him what his comment sounded like, and so he cleared the air right away, all within a couple of minutes.</p>

<p>I know that there are male competitive swimmers and bodybuilders and actors and models who wax their chests for practical and professional reasons, and some gay men do it, and lots of men who have hair on their backs get it waxed, but I hadn’t heard of chest-waxing as a trend among straight men the Congressman’s age! At least that had to be something his wife knew about, right? (Of course, there are some men who don’t have any hair on their chests at all.)</p>
<p>I was under the impression that hairy chests were considered “manly.” Am I living in the Stone Age? I guess I must be. I am as shocked as zm to learn that a middle-aged US congressman has sent photos of his private parts out on the internet. </p>

<p>I don’t like very hairy chests (and, ugh, not hairy backs!)…but shaving “everywhere” is a bit odd.</p>
<p>And, the women I know do not find pics of men’s <private parts=“”> to be “sexy”. I don’t know why men would think women would?</private></p>

<p>I find it funny that there are 217 posts about this topic…well now 218 posts! I was in the car and today and turned on my radio, and most of the conversation was about this topic!</p>

<p>Among straight men, I think the vast majority do not. It’s common in certain subcultures and not others.</p>
<p>Our 18 yr old S can barely tolerate a band aid ripped off :rolleyes: Don’t see him waxing anytime soon.</p>
