I am currently considering majoring in Anthropology (with a focus/emphasis on cultural anthropology) and minoring or possibly double-majoring in Media Studies. My research so far hasn’t assisted me in my decision process whatsoever, so i thought it would be helpful to ask around college confidential

Have you tried the SuperMatch search (linked on the left side of the page?). It allows you to sort through hundreds of colleges by major and other factors.

I think a university would suit you better than a LAC. A wider variety of anthro courses and a school of C with a lot more diversity to their media studies. You could look at your state and other flagships, to start. Have you thought about that approach? Most OOS flagships are not going to off you much aid; some will be less expensive than your state flagship, and some few will offer merit if you have the scores.

Without know your GPA, test scores, geographic locations, etc. it is very difficult to make suggestions. Off-hand, if you want to double major colleges with quarter terms or trimesters often allow for that more easily.

Thank you!
