Anyone else get a “sorry for the screw-up” email?

Dear Ms. _:

You may have already received a letter from me, Associate Dean of the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science at UCLA, admitting you to the Aerospace Engineering major. That letter is in error, and you have been admitted to the Bioengineering major.

In a few days you will receive a correct letter. The faculty and I look forward to meeting you at the Open House on April 15.

Sincerely,

Stephen Jacobsen, Associate Dean
Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science
UCLA

Of course, seeing as I live in the Bay I hadn’t even gotten the letter yet. I just find it hilarious that I found out I got into one of my top-choice colleges because of an e-mail telling me they screwed up my acceptance letter.

True, true. In any case, I suppose it’s much better than getting an email saying they accidentally sent you an acceptance letter but you were really rejected. :P

Hm, it seems like I’m still the only one who got one of these emails, so I’m wondering how they caught their mistake.

Got one here, too.
