Anticipation is killing me...Chances?

Thanks. Great information!

Do the UCs look at the API(academic performance index) if your school as well?

@fredferd1995 I hope so. at my school, over 100 students in my senior class (out of 270) have above a 3.5! Its extremely competitive, and we were ranked fifth in the state of ohio for public schools. I hope so - but then again, it wouldnt surprise me with my luck.

That’s awesome! Good luck tomorrow! I heard somewhere that that they do look at hs quality but that might not apply for oos. But good luck regardless

Here’s a chart stratifying API of applicants’ high schools by campus for this cycle: http://www.ucop.edu/news/factsheets/2013/fall_2013_applications_table5.pdf

So yes, it is taken into account, and if you are out-of-state I’m sure they find some way to evaluate your school and its class offerings, maybe through a profile submitted by a counselor. And I hear they may compare you to other applicants from your school. Either way the OOS admission rate should trend upwards as the UC system desperately needs money from OOS tuition.

Mine stats are like exactly the same. So, hopefully, you get in.
