<p>Essays: Personal statement was lengthy, roughly 700-800 words, but I feel confident in that one. All essays written about some aspect of speedcubing.</p>

<p>Additional Notes: Parents began divorce process shortly before junior year (grades took a nosedive that year), the process is yet to be completely. First semester GPA for this year is 3.22. Applying for financial aid; EFC is 0.</p>

<p>Reason for posting: I just want to reassure myself that I’m not the only one who thinks that I am crazy for having applied to these schools with my GPA/grades.</p>

<p>Your first first are definite big reaches. Your gpa is just a bit too low. and your rank seems really low too. Your scores, while decent in reality, are really low for those schools.
Your ecs are unique though =) and your courseload is pretty rigorous.</p>

<p>Oh man… that GPA is really low… and your SATs aren’t stellar either… I wish you the best, but I don’t like your chances for any of those schools to be honest… Maybe UCLA and Berkeley.</p>

<p>First 4 are high reaches. Maybe Duke. My scores are similar, so I know Ivy Leagues are difficult…</p>

<p>i don’t think your chances are good for any of those school…I had a a 2130 sat score and 3.9 gpa, with killer extra curriculars, and I didnt get into ucla or berk
so um good luck</p>

<p>very slim chance at all the schools listed for two reasons</p>

<p>[1]Test scores, class rank, and gpa are low for HYPS and Duke </p>

<p>[2]And you are out of state for UCLA and UCB.</p>

<p>I guess I’ll just give up on my hopes at these schools and just see how it goes in late March/April. Maybe pursue some less-developed hobbies until then. ^_^;;</p>
