I’m looking to purchase a hammock and stand for my girlfriend over the summer. Preferably one that fits two comfortably. I found a combo that looked decent on amazon by Strathwood. Does anyone have any suggestions… and is $140 enough to pay for a hammock and stand, or is it almost guaranteed to be garbage?

Is this for your retirement?

Retirement? Not sure what you mean. It’s just something to lounge in in the backyard. She has always wanted a hammock, and since we do not have suitable trees, I figure a stand is the next best thing.

FYI, hammocks are bad for your back.

Umm, who lays on hammocks??

Mostly old people.

And who complain about bad backs?

Mostly old people.

lol

Exactamente.

What’s wrong with hammocks?! They are pretty comfortable! Does anyone over the age of 18 have advice on buying a hammock?

You mean over the age of 65? ;)

A hammock for two is a pretty big hammock. I don’t see why anyone would want to get a two-person hammock, since the people in it would get all squished together in the center. I guess you wouldn’t have a problem since it’d be for you and your girlfriend.

You probably won’t get the advice you’re looking for in the CC cafe. High school students don’t go around spending $140 on hammocks.

That’s a nice 2 person hammock, really cheap and comfortable, and on sale.
