For some reason my courses were all dropped by my community college. I don’t know why, but I was able to add one history course that I had listed in the TAU. At this point, the courses I listed on the TAU (economics 2, sociology, and psychology) are full. I have the option to add a couple of history courses (I enjoy history and isn’t any issue for me) or crash courses when the semester starts on Monday. Any advice? Will this affect my admission to UCs? I finished all my perquisites and IGETC this past fall. I am a political science major. Also, I tagged UC Davis.
I would suggest switching to history and update TAU, noting the situation, plus email each UC. The fact that it is not impacting IGETC or major pre-reqs means it should have no impact. I don’t think you need all four classes, but three would be nice.
Not that it’s relevant, but you said they were dropped, then said they were full. ??
Did you pay on time? Did you have a FA or other hold?
I know SMC will drop you like a hot potato if you don’t have fees paid on time.
@lindyk8 thank you! you are so helpful on here. Do you know what email address would they be? is it the general admission email address (admission@xxxx.edu)
@luckie1367 I literally have no clue. I checked I have no holds, and I paid my fees for Spring 2015 on January 30 because I went on campus to receive the EOPS book grant. On Friday, I checked to see the specific time of the Economics class and all of my classes were dropped. The office was already closed. I go to Pierce College, and now I have to take a variety of classes throughout the LACCD.
Just go up to TAU and then you will have to find the admissions email for each UC you applied to and send them the update. Obviously, first get things squared away.
if you are in academic good standing and paid your fees you need to go to admissions right away and see what is up. It could be a computer glitch.
The other option if you have everything complete and 60 transferable units is to just not take any courses and note you decided to work to save $$.
Honestly, I’d go to a counselor and ask what happened, and ask to be put back in your classes.
Its not your fault that you got dropped, so they should fix it for you!
