<p>Yep, improve your SATs a little and you’re fine. I can see that your grades have improved consistently since your freshman year. Well done on that :)</p>

<p>I’d say you’re in the low end of the range, but have no standout extracurricular activity and your freshman year grades could hold you back, even with the upward trend, given how competitive Yale is. Depending on how low income you are (say, under 40K per year), your profile improves.</p>

<p>I think a C is a bit low, but maybe outstanding recs and essays could overshadow that. Was there something going on in your personal life that enabled you got those grades, or did you just not understand the material? If the former is true, maybe you should tell your guidance counselor to mention that in his or her recommendation. </p>

<p>When I toured and sat in on an information session at Yale they made it politely clear that B’s are not really tolerated in an application. But I’m sure that this was a generalization, and if you really show personality in your application and interview, I’d say you have just as much chance if not more than all the other amazing applicants out there!
