Any chance for Ivy League?

Hi guys,
I’m a senior in a Texas private school. My unweighted GPA is 3.9. I have only taken 2 AP classes (WHAP-4 and Cal AB-current term), but I have 24 credit hours due to dual credit classes. In 9th grade, my GPA was a terrible 2.9 due to personal problems but I improved substantially over the years.
ACT: 31 composite; took it again and is 33- English-35, Math-32, Reading-31, Science-34
SAT: Taking it November and hoping for a 2200
Subject Tests: US Hist 760 and Bio-M 740

My current class ranking is 2nd but I’m positive it’ll be 1st by year’s end

My Leadership:
Islamic Society of Greater Houston: Youth affairs secretary for North Zone since December 2012 (Junior+senior year)

Muslim Student Organization: Vice President (Senior year)

Student Council: Vice President (Sophomore year)

National Honor Society: President/Chairman for our chapter (Senior)

Extra-Curricular:

Founded school newspaper (senior)

Organized canned food drive - raised over 1000 cans of food (Junior)

Helped organize road cleanup - Adopt a City Mile program (Junior)

I plan on Doing Pre-Med but I might end up majoring in History or Political Science

My ambitions have always been too high-impossible even, but I never let anyone tell me that it’s impossible to do something. I made a couple mistakes early in high school and they haunt me even today. I’m applying to Harvard, Columbia, Yale, Rice, Princeton, Duke, and Stanford. Can anyone tell me if my leadership and EC’s would balance the scale?

If you are going for pre-med, why not consider UPenn as one of your choices?

I can’t remember specifically which colleges but a lot of them don’t really look at Freshman GPA, so if it’s only your freshman year theoretically it shouldn’t be that bad.

I’m actually wondering how your rank is so high if your freshman GPA was that bad.

I’d consider some schools that are less ambitious, as Harvard/Stanford/Princeton/Columbia/Yale are all hard to get into for everyone. Maybe consider some schools like JHU/Brown/etc.

spirral- Yeah I forgot to mention that I’m applying to UPenn and JHU
Petersuu- I know what you mean;my class isn’t very competitive. The current number one dropped out of AP Cal and Dual credit History for regulars and I’m still taking them both.

I had an interview at Rice just yesterday, and it lasted a good hour (my dad was waiting in the lobby and he said the other people came out way earlier than me) and I think it went really well. Do you guys think Rice might work out well with me? After all, I’m from Houston and all.

3.9 and a 33 are well in the range of most ivys. Write a good essay I guess, good luck
