Any colleges in Texas that are more liberal than conservative?

<p>I’m interested in possibly attending college in Texas. Are there any colleges there that are not extremely conservative? Thank you.</p>

<p>I would assume the privates such as Rice, though Texas is known to be a conservative state… so I don’t think too many universities will be liberal, but I assume the publics are.</p>

<p>I think Rice is pretty fifty/fifty. Also, what’s liberal for the south is probably not liberal like Brown or Macalaster.</p>

<p>Your best bet is UT-Austin, which is the most liberal by Texas standards. However, getting into UT as an out-of-state student is quite tough, so good luck to you if you apply there.</p>

<p>Texas A&M is a public state school but has a very conservative reputation nonetheless.</p>
