Are there any colleges that accept 5’s only? If so, is it possible to name a few? Thanks. I was just curious, I guess.

Harvard
Don’t know of any others

Princeton, with exceptions for History, Math, etc.

Yes, there are a few universities that will merely accept scores of five in certain subjects (Yale, University of Chicago) or use fives to confer a higher degree of credit. Harvard, specifically, will not accept AP scores for credit or placement unless they are applied to the institution’s acceleration option, Advanced Standing. Of course, the universities mentioned above are not exclusive to this concern – perhaps others will post of other colleges with some similar “5-only” policy in certain subjects.

MIT is rather strict…I mean they only accept 5’s…and for some subjects like Physics B , they don’t even accept a 5
But you can place out.

Brandeis only counts 5s.

I know UPenn only takes 5’s

Caltech???
