Any computer experts familar with carbonite who could answer a question?

My old dell hard drive died, but I had all the files backed up on carbonite. I bought an imac, but I am still trying to figure out how to get my old files from carbonite onto the mac. Could I hook up an external drive to another pc, restore the files there, and then move them to the imac?

Best if you just email them and find out the best way to do this.

Just an fyi - if some files are lost, and you’re still able to work on-line, carbonite will wipe out those files in the backup in about 30 days. For those unfamiliar with carbonite, it works in the background and as long as you’re online, it backs up changes. Problem is, if you accidently wipe out a file, after 30 days, it assumes you wanted that file deleted in the backup, too. So you have to restore it or notify them before the 30 days is up.
