<p>Proud television watcher here. I enjoy lots of shows and also have Netflix. My homeowner’s association dues include basic cable so I jus pay for premium channels - HBO and Showtime.</p>
<p>I cringe when I pay Directv every month. We have the basic pkg, plus had to go up for because “We have to have” sports. H and D are big sports freaks. UG. $75/mo to watch ESPN whatever and History channel. That is IT.</p>
<p>We can’t get the local channels without a good antennae, but if something happens to H, the antennae is going up and the Directv is going down.</p>
<p>I do not understand sports on television.
If I am in attendance I can get involved, but to watch it on tv, it is just another show.
My BIL has a satellite dish & two televisions side by side for watching sports.

<p>Here! Cable TV bundles have gotten MORE chaff and MORE ads at the same time. How is that fair? </p>
<p>These days we know we can just cherry pick the content we want by torrenting. Problem solved.</p>
