Such as Intro to Video Production/Intro to Filmmaking. I am thinking about shopping Video Production tomorrow. How hard are these studio courses technically to get into? I realized that an application is required, and seniors concentrating in MCM get priority. Do you think it would be hard for a freshman to get into it? I am just asking because there are three classes all around that time tomorrow that I want to shop, and I am having a terrible time deciding which one to go to.

I have no idea about MCM classes, but email the professors and explain the issue. Most will give you an accurate idea whether you’d be able to get in or not.

You can get in. My friend was able to get in without any prior MCM/production experience, you just need to email the professor

And if you’ve decided you’re really interested, then you do need to show up. MCM/Lit Arts classes with caps/long waitlists usually cut corners to make sure that people that really demonstrate that they want to take the course end up there.
