If superscoring isn’t a factor and the college allows score choice, is there any disadvantage to using it or not?

For example, if you reported 2000 and a 2200, would you be considered differently than someone who only reported a 2200?

There are many schools that say that they only consider your best scores but they use “holistic” admissions process, so I wonder if they’re taking the number of times you take it and the earlier scores into account too.

I just submitted all of mine. Colleges WANT to take your highest scores because it makes them look better and more selective on Common Data Sets. I don’t think there is any disadvantage.

Plus, who really wants to support CollegeBoard in their annoying, practically unethical money making ventures? I sure do not!

Well, Collegeboard trying to make money may be a part of the reason for score choice, but I think it was implemented mainly because it was requested so much

…If you are unhappy with your third attempt and want to take the SAT one more time…I would probably only show a college three attempts and use score choice.
