<p>My son was accepted ED to his college. They sent him an invitation for a new student visit. We have been encouraged by some to consider sending him, while others have dismissed a visit. Any thoughts?</p>
<p>I’m going. Basically, the admit weekends are glorified visits where they try to convince you to go. While I, like your son, doesn’t need to be convinced to go, it’s a great way to meet other students admitted to the college and it’s my only way of getting into a few of the dorms and scope out the housing.</p>
