I have a 15yrs old daughter and want to hire a math tutor for my kid.
I recently came across a tutoring website called tutorlinker.com(http://tutorlinker.com)
They seem to have a nice service to find tutors and they have number of tutors in urban area(I checked LA and NY)
I was wondering if anyone has used the service. Are they experts on their subjects? or is it just waste of money? If you know any other service you used and have good experiences, please make a suggestion

I would check her high school first.
Teachers at my Ds high school do tutoring after school and it is free.
By having a chance to work one on one with her math teacher for example, she felt more comfortable asking questions in class as well as after school.

We have also used Kumon- which is a good basic program to insure that no holes in learning are missed.

It seems interesting, but I would also go with personal referrals, i don’t see any way that these tutors are evaluated
