Here is the link: [YouTube - Asians in the Library: UCLA Rant (Original Uncut Video) and Apology](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQR01qltgo8)

I can’t believe she had the audacity to do that. And people like her are the first ones to say that they are not racist.

LOl I’m Asian and I’m not even phased by that at all. Haters gonna hate. I also think the Asian community didn’t take that much offense. There were a lot of funny videos posted in response to the girls vid. “Ching chong (means I love you)” haha.

To me, I think that she wasn’t trying to be racist. She didn’t know how to put her thoughts properly. She’s not even saying that ALL asians are like this, just what she observes at UCLA. Again, attack me all you want but I don’t think that she was trying to be racist. But still she’s a *****.

Man I love when people screw themselves over on the internet! It’s so fun to watch.

I kinda feel bad for all the other Alexandra Wallaces in the world since if someone googles their name this chick pops up.

I am part Asian and cried while laughing at all the feedback. I don’t think shes racist (she says she does have Asian friends, but her video was directed towards ‘random’ Asians), but ignorant and dumb. Oh well, her loss! She can kiss UCLA and the chances of her landing a stable job goodbye :)

She was studying in the library during finals week and other students talking loudly on their cell phones repeatedly disrupted her studying. If that was the case, then she had a legitimate complaint about what happened on that occasion.

I assume it violates library policies to talk loudly on cell phones in designated study areas. It is certainly an expected norm, and most people respect this. If not, a reminder or look from other library patrons usually suffices to curb their behavior. When it is not sufficient, it should not be up to other library patrons to enforce it. Rather, the library staff should enforce it. Apparently, the library staff took no action on this occasion.

Her perception was that the students who did this were Asian students. That may very well be an accurate perception of what happened on that occasion. However, was this just a matter of certain rude individuals, or is this more commonly a problem among Asian students in general? She implied that it is more common among Asian students, and she attributed this to different cultural norms. Whether or not this is true, I don’t know.

So UCLA is half asians and half dumb blondes with big boons?

Apparently boobs isn’t saved in my phone… i’ll change that

“If they hate, then let them hate and watch the money pile up.” -50 Cent

But anyways, her life is screwed forever. Imagine when future employers Google her name. She’ll have a good degree (probably not at UCLA cause she’ll have to transfer because of ridicule), but no one will offer her a job of that one mistake. Have fun doing porn UCLA girl!

It was stupid for her to say what she did and even more stupid for her to record herself on video and post it on youtube.

But it was also stupid for her to get threats and her to feel the need to withdraw from school.

Maybe she’s not racist, but she has bigoted/prejudiced beliefs.

Just b/c one has friends of a particular background doesn’t necessarily prevent one from being a racist or holding racist beliefs.

Heck, there are Asians, Jews, blacks, etc. who “self-hate” and have racist beliefs towards their own kind.

Anyway, I find it a bit humorous that she compared her “American” upbringing to that of Asians when the vast majority of posters on threads about the Japanese earthquake/Tsunami have commented on how peaceful and orderly the Japanese have been in contrast to the reaction during Hurrican Katrina.

People shouldn’t be making sweeping judgments on Americans due to Hurricane Katrina and neither should she have based on “her experiences.”

I mean, really, my experience (of current UCLA students) is watching her make some not really intelligent remarks in a not so impressive manner (speech/grammar); that doesn’t mean I should dismiss all or even the majority of UCLA students as being of her ilk.

Katrina happened in the South… the South isn’t America

^^ Eh, many Japanese think anything outside of greater Tokyo isn’t really ‘Japan.’

Sorry I didn’t listen to anything she said I was staring at her chest.

If they were making her so mad in the library, couldn’t she just get up and leave? I don’t see why she had to stay and then go rant on youtube.

Because she had some intense studying to do. The library was the only place to study for a lady of her intellectual stature

She actually dropped out because she was getting so much hate mail and threats.
