I have been dwelling lately on bringing more people into my life. Today I noticed how terrible our mostly unused front path had gotten. As I spent some time this evening pulling weeds and sweeping, I thought back to a book on feng shui I started a while ago but didn’t finish. I believe entry ways are especially important. I would love to learn more!
I don’t know if I’m a practitioner and I’m no expert, but I believe in the concepts of positive and negative chi. There are many examples of how to incorporate concepts into your house, office and garden.
Staircases cannot lead directly out the front door because your good luck with flow out. Skylights are thought as a negative since they’re considered much like a hole in your head and you lose your thoughts and information. You cannot have a back window line up with a front window so someone can see through your house. Round versus square. Where the bed is positioned in a room (feet not head to the door). There are gazillions of these types of negative and positive chi.
Mirrors and flowing water are among many methods of mitigating negative chi. So all is not lost. In areas where there’s a large Chinese and Asian population, house sellers and home builders incorporate these concepts to sell their homes more quickly.
