April Fools’ Day! Well, that explains the ad for scratch-and-sniff watchbands I got from Fossil this morning. Doesn’t it??
One of my kiddos brought a brown construction paper cut-out capital letter E to me. Found it in his lunch.
Ohhh! Good one. I have to make a note to self for next year: make a bunch of these and then ask one of our executive assistants to spread rumor that there are treats in the big kitchen! Of course, I will have to make sure to bring actual treats - but place them in the other kitchen. 
And leave a note by the “brownies” with the directions on how to find the real deal. 
Ok. I’m doing this next year. Paper brown “e” one place and (maybe) a platter of brownies hidden later

The University of Oregon Athletic Department put out a press release today saying they were digging up the football field and installing a new artificial turf that had LED lights and would light up the entire field in the school colors.

A friends daughter is an elementary school teacher. She gave the kids one of those word search puzzle’s and told them that the first person that finished correctly would get 50 bonus points. None of the words that were listed to search for were actually in the puzzle. She let them sweat it out for ten minutes before yelling out “April Fools!”.
We have little treats at the front desk of our library fairly often so yesterday there was a foil wrapped plate labeled treats, and when you opened the foil, there were the Brown E’s. They said is was a hit.
