It’s been to cold to get out and put together my own care packages for the boys I send care packages to. Anyone know of any good buys out there for mail order goodies?

Hickory Farms is still having 75% off much of its merchandise. It does charge $10 flat rate for shipping (tho for a while, it was free to military addresses–not sure if that is still valid). I sent some of those the other year & it was greatly appreciated.

Off subject–today, I had to mail D the prescription glasses & sunglasses which were finally done at Costco. I also included a case of individual chocolate soy milk and some dark chocolate and a case of individual pack trail mix, so she can have some healthy snacks. It weighed 16.5 pounds but only cost $14.95 to mail–yeah USPS flat rate!

I think B&N or Borders (can’t remember which) was having free shipping with no minimum, if it’s still on.

Wow, HImom, that Hickory Farms idea was a good one! Thank you - we have a family celebration and this was very timely!

You might check grouponroundup or brad’s deals…I often see steep discounts there! Also look at the “Good Buy” thread as there have been several posted lately…I found a decent deal on Valentine goodies at the popcorn factory, IIRC it was $10 off any order and free shipping, plus a big rebate from mr. rebates, so it was cheaper than assembling and mailing a package.

This popped up in my email today and I jumped on it.
