near Fairfax, VA or within 30 miles radius? Don’t care about the price or type of food. I like to try out different restaurants that serve good food.
Seriously, Artie’s, which is in Fairfax. Or Carlyle, which is in Shirlington, which is part of Arlington.
Both superb, with great service. Memorable. Worth any traffic. Both owned by Great American Restaurants, which has a number of great places.
Jaipur Royal Indian Cuisine in Fairfax.
Peking Gourmet Inn - peking duck, Jaleo - tapas, Rose’s Luxury - Michelin star
@mominva i did enjoy Peking Gourmet Inn in Falls Church .Interesting , bustling atmosphere… Have been to Jaleo in DC but many years ago. Son enjoyed Rose’s Luxury in DC , very expensive. @websensation You may get more responses if you are able to add the location to your title.
@sevmom, Peking Gourmet is our family go-to for Chinese food mostly we take out- we always need to order extra Szechuan Beef Proper (or as my DIL calls it - Crack Beef - it’s addictive). Hosted DS/DIL rehearsal dinner there - impeccable service.
There are SO many good paces in the region - and more popping up at Waterfront - I liked Officina- and Navy Yard -Osteria Morini- .
These are enough to try on my next visit there. Thanks.
Must try Neisha Thai in Tysons corner. The ambiance and food is amazing.
We enjoy 2941 in Fairview Park area.
Thanks. I will visit one or two of these when I am there next time.
Yum—any places in Arlington VA or nearby? Planning to be in VA in June.
Arlington’s pretty big and spread out. What part are you staying in?
Near Ballston and the Metro station and Arlington Public Library are the best landmarks. We will have a vehicle so can get around as well.
@HImom, dates? Will you have time for a CC gathering?
All the mentioned places are doable from your location with a car/Uber.
I’d love to see everyone again but am still figuring out dates with my H and other relatives—mid June and later though.
Will get back to you when it’s firmed up.
Now that I live in Arlington, I’d be interested in restaurant suggestions, as well as a CC meetup.
