<p>The big thing with history papers is being sure to incorporate analysis with the narrative/historical content. You could write 10 pages, but still receive a poor mark if you lack analysis; likewise, I think if you write 5 pages, but have lots of analysis woven in, you could score well.
Based on the essays we do in class, I typically write 5-6 pages, single spaced on the legal-sized paper, and receive around 17-18 out of 20.</p>
