HI im going to be a senior in high school. i got a 1960 on my sats. 4.2 gpa. i volunteer at my hospital 150+ hours, work w. metally challenged kids at school and in summer. went to Harvard Summer School last summer and took 2 courses. sat 2 scores 660, bio and math. i raise money every year for orphans to go to school. teach elderly people computers. member of yearbook (section editor), class cabinet, future business leaders of america, spanish club, science Olympiad, workforce excellence committee member (promoting employment in the region) studying a independent study in neuroscience. also, VP of a medical club at a standard school of Medicine. I took all the APs offered at my school and also, a AP course online. I also go to India frequently and do various charity work. Do I have a chance of getting into a Ivy League???

I would say no, but apply to cornell/dartmouth/penn for the hell of it (you never no).

you have a shot, especially if you are a minority

How many minorities go to India frequently:)

Realistically, HYP are out of reach for you because of your SAT score, and the rest of the Ivies are really, really high reaches, like a 2% chance at each. If you can get a good score on the ACT, those can definitely be valid options for you. But, if you don’t, there are other really good schools that will probably suit your interests better anyway, schools that aren’t quite in the Top 10 but are still comfortably in the Top 50. You should totally look into them, you’d be surprised.

Eh… raise your SAT. You have time. And your unweighted GPA counts more than your 4.2. How many non-A, A-'s do you have?

Your ECs, while they say something about your relative affluence(Harvard summer, and India), are pretty solid.

Raising your stats will give you a pretty good shot at any school.

I have like 2 b’s. and im taking the sat again this oct. what should i realistically shoot for?? and my unweighted gpa is around 3.8sih. and if sats in oct go well then i should be taking sat 2 in nov. so…early admission is totally out of the question?? and i live in a EXTREMELY rural area with which half only complete any college. would that count for admission’?

Maybe barely. But you should shoot for a 2200, which may be out of reach.

im getting 2100+ on my practice tests so maybe :)

Your SAT is very low, and your GPA is a bit low for the unhooked applicant. Ivies are very big reaches.
