Any Ivy league university - Need medical scholarship.

<p>I’m an International student from Alexandria, Egypt, and here are my qualifications so far (I’m a Junior):
SAT: 2220 (Will try to bring it to a 2300)
Score breakdown: 650 CR 780 Math 790 WR</p>

<p>GPA: 3.9-4.0 (I assume it’s going to be like this by the time I graduate, since I get straight A’s in all my classes, thankfully)</p>

<p>Recommendations: A great number of teachers think very highly of me, including the school principal. I believe this is going to be easy to take care of.</p>

<p>Essays: I believe this will be taken care of as well, let’s assume they’re going to be ‘good.’</p>

<p>E/Cs: Absolutely nothing. Will this hurt my chances?</p>

<p>I’m not simply applying to Ivy league universities, but I’m also applying for full medical scholarships (which, as I’ve been told, are difficult to gain). Therefore, my question to you, with the above qualifications, is it possible to qualify for a full medical scholarship at any Ivy league university, and as a matter of fact, are these qualifications enough for any medical scholarship in the U.S. for International students from Egypt?</p>

<p>The IVYies do not give any merit aid only financial aid based on need (as they define it) … if your family has a high income this strategy may not work out. FYI - there are lots of schools as good as the IVYies and some over very schools do offer merit aid (not sure about any limitations on merit aid for internationals). Good luck!</p>

<p>Are you Egyptian, Fat_Nerd (I liked your previous name better)? Maaan, I never would have guessed. Do you speak Arabic?</p>

<p>I know many, many Arab international students who got into good schools with no ECs- top 20 schools. However, Ivy schools are different. Needing financial-aid is almost a death sentence at some schools (UPenn). I’ll check with my acquaintances who applied for financial-aid and see if any of them received anything (I’ll send you a PM if I find anything useful). However, I can already tell you that it’s very unlikely you’ll get much (in the unlikely case of acceptance).</p>
