Any Mizzou students Fall of 2011?

We live in northern Illinois and my business major s just decided on Mizzou. He is so excited. Anyone’s child going there who is not a j major? Do they like it? Pros/cons? I am concerned about distance~ approx 6 hrs. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Kris

Hi - my son is a freshman now at Mizzou. I sent you a Private Message (PM) - check your messages at the top right hand side of the page. :)

Senior there now! Absolutely love it and might even stick around for medical school. If I could go back in time and choose any college in the country for undergrad, I’d choose Mizzou again in a heartbeat.

Great place, vibrant community, wonderful school, friendly people, nice students, and infectious school spirit. He’s in for the ride of his life! Would be thrilled to answer any questions or provide insider info.

Mizzou has become popular down here. I know four kids who went there. Two are seniors and have loved it. One left after freshman year - too far from home. One is leaving after one semester - drank too much.

I will say that one of the seniors initially pledged a sorority then quickly left it when she realize how alcohol-oriented that sorority was. (The next year she pledged a different one and fit in well.)

Ditto what Kristin says. My S is a junior. There are many students from Illinois–especially the Chicago area and probably northern Illinois. Rides home should be available. There’s also a Megabus to Chicago. I wrote more in a PM and would be glad to answer questions from a parent’s point of view. M-I-Z!

ZOU! (Bummed I’ll be on the ZOU side from here on out…)

^^ That’s okay. You know what Jon Hamm says: “ZOU . . . forever.”
