The question reads, The consumption of various alcoholic beverages has varied distributions within the United States. Explain why such variety would occur and give examples of specific beverages. Some ideas: the popularity of wine in California; the popularity of beer in Wisconsin; the low level of alcohol consumption in Utah. Anyone wanna help me out here ?

California… they grow grapes there… eh EH? grapes=wine

Utah… Mormons… totally against drinking eh?

And Wisconsin? meh there’s probably a large amount of barley there to make beer.

Aside from Utah being largely Mormon (though it doesn’t really grow much either) i’d say those are really a result of the climate and what kinds of crops are grown as a result of it
