Any one with Work-Study job with nothing to do?

I got a work-study job and i’ve been done with the job my boss gave me since last week.
Since then, i’ve been chilling at work all day.

Is it just my job or do the other federal work study folks out there find themselves in the same situation as me?

I don’t get why you’re complaining.

Cause its soo boring. You should try sitting infront of a computer for 3 hrs. And idk if i should ask my boss for some more work.

I already sit in front of a computer for hours. Getting paid for it would be even better. lol. Maybe get some studying/school work done?

stop *****ing and learn to love it.
My mom is a medical technician (someone who tests blood/urine/stool samples for diseases and tests different treatments against them. 50% of the time, she is done within the first 2 hours.

What does she do? She gets paid to take 2 hour lunches, do her own paperwork, read magazines, check homework for my siblings, etc…

Learn to love it - it’s a luxury that you’ll likely miss later.

Wow, why are you guys getting all worked up?

I am not complaining. I am merely stating the situation i find myself in everyday at work.
I just wanted to know if other federal work study people chill the same way as i do

I have work study too and I basically do nothing. They have computers and I just browse the web or just study.

Which jobs are these? I would really like to hear about them.

Actually, yeah. All the work study jobs I’ve seen look that they want some real work done.

i actually have a job that sit in front of a laptop for 8 hours/week (that’s the maximum amount they can give me) and although it can be as tedious and boring as hell, i still havent finished with the works my supervisor gave me.

It depends on the job type too. Mine is Assistant IV which i believe is the highest among 4 position. I to IV. There are other technicians positions that are more well-paid but i believe they pretty much do the same thing (or prolly little bit more)
